BBAC sponsors Kunhadi's 'Taxi night 8' charity event

BBAC sponsored ‘Taxi Night 8’ at Sky Bar, a charity event organized by Kunhadi association to promote road safety and awareness. The supporting crowd received two drinks and a two-way taxi ride with ‘Allo Taxi’. The event was attended by H.E. Mr. Ziad Baroud, Minister of Interior and Municipalities, along with an array of Lebanese socialites, entertainment, sports and public figures.

BBAC sponsors AUB's Virtual Stock Exchange Competition

BBAC sponsored  a six-week competition, Virtual Stock Exchange Competition, organized by the Business Student Society at the American University of Beirut (AUB). Participants were granted a certain amount of virtual money which they were to invest and track in corporate stocks as they saw fit in order to reap the highest possible returns. The objectives of the competition are to encourage participants to strategize their use of the stock exchange, incorporate analytical skills and their understanding of the industries in which they chose to invest, and learn the intricacies of dealing with shares on the stock exchange.

The top 5 participants presented their tactics and plans to a panel of judges consisting of AUB finance professors and BBAC finance specialists. BBAC also offered financial awards to the winners with the highest returns and soundest investment strategies.

BBAC sponsors AFDC’s environmental awareness activities

BBAC sponsored different environmental activities organized by the Association for Forests, Development & Conservation  (AFDC) in collaboration with the schools in Metn with the aim of promoting environmental awareness among the youth.  These activities attracted around 900 students. Through these efforts, BBAC aims at encouraging the public to show more care for the environment and its welfare.

BBAC participates in the ‘Health Fair’ event

BBAC participated in the the ‘Health Fair’ event organized by Saint Georges Hospital in Souk El Gharb, Aley with the purpose of promoting health awareness and helping with early detection of developing health problems. A team of expert physicians from Saint Georges Hospital offered free medical examinations and consultation. This step comes in line with the bank’s CSR strategy of improving the health status of local communities.

BBAC donates to 'Akhdar Dayem' environmental campaign

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility program, BBAC donated 100,000 USD  to ‘Akhdar Dayem’, the Lebanese environmental campaign to preserve the nation’s green spaces, launched by the Lebanese Ministry of Interior and Municipalities in collaboration with the economic committees and the civil society. The Lebanese Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Mr. Ziad Baroud received a visit from Chairman General Manager of BBAC Sheikh Ghassan Assaf, who handed him the check with the contribution at the ministry’s premises in Sanayeh.

BBAC spreads the Holiday Spirit

With a common goal and a spirit of compassion, BBAC was able to spread the holiday spirit and much more through an employee fundraising campaign. The proceeds from the campaign were donated to the Lebanese Red Cross and to 'Ayadina' Association in order to put smiles on the faces of underprivileged children and bring hope back into the lives of forgotten elders. Donations did not only include cash but also in-kind contributions such as volunteer time, food and clothing.

BBAC renovates Aley monument

BBAC has recently completed the renovation of the 11-meters high monument located at Aley's entrance which had been worn out over the years of abandon.The renovation process involved the refurbishment, the rehabilitation and the redesigning works that transformed the monument into an artistic sculpture.
The new design was carried out by the internationally renowned Lebanese artist Lena Kelekian, the winner of the 2008 Beijing Olympics gold medal and the Torch for the Middle East, in the Olympic Fine Arts. The execution on site was under the supervision of the well known architect Hagop Sulahian, for his restoration and city embellishment works.

BBAC sponsors “Tallou Hbabna” festival in Aley

As part of its continuous support to the community and driven by the strong belief in the importance of being an active corporate citizen, BBAC  sponsored  “Tallou Hbabna” festival organized by Aley’s municipality and the committee of Lebanon’s International Tourism Festivals, under the patronage of the Ministry of Tourism. The proceeds raised by the festival went towards the establishment of a public garden for children with special needs.

BBAC sponsors a play in Al Madina Theatre in support of the Lebanese Red Cross

To help improve the social and economic health of Lebanon, BBAC gave a helping hand to the Lebanese Red Cross by sponsoring a play for " Les Diseurs group" in Al Madina theatre - Beirut. All proceeds from the event went to the treasury of the Beirut committee in the Lebanese Red Cross .
