For the second year in a row, BBAC supported the “Iraq Banking Forum”, which was held in Beirut in the presence of the Governor of the Iraqi Central Bank Dr. Ali Al Allag and the Lebanese Central Bank Governor Mr. Riad Salameh, a group of Iraqi, Lebanese and Arab banks and financial institutions as well as experts, economists and representatives of specialized media outlets.

Assistant General Manager for External Expansion at BBAC, Mr. Chawki Badr, who was one of the speakers at the forum, commented saying: "BBAC’s efforts are focused on further expanding its local network through opening new branches, as well as working on development and international expansion. The forum addressed Iraq’s economic and financial status, the Iraqi Central Bank’s plans to upgrade the country’s financial situation and the experience of the Lebanese banks operating in Iraq, with discussions around the perspectives of those banks, the challenges they face, and the opportunities available in light of the Iraqi government’s trends reflected in the adoption of the banking services’ system, in addition to topics of electronic banking and mobile-payment.
