BBAC Sponsors the Latin America Lebanese Diaspora Energy Conference
BBAC sponsored the inauguration of the first Lebanese Diaspora Energy Conference for Latin America in Sao Paolo, Brazil, which took place in the Governor’s Palace and was attended by the Brazilian President Michel Temer, government officials and BBAC’s Chairman and General Manager Ghassan Assaf. The conference aims to connect the Lebanese Diaspora in Latin America with Lebanon on the economic, cultural and social levels, as well as strengthen bonds with their home country.
On the occasion, Mr. Assaf commented: "This conference is a chance for us to connect with the Lebanese communities in Latin America. It focuses on economic cooperation opportunities with the Lebanese expatriates, and investment incentives in Lebanon. Tying relations with expats has always been in the core of our strategy; with loans and services catered specifically to help them restore the connection with their homeland.” He added: “External expansion is not new to BBAC, we might have a presence in Latin America in the near future, in reflection of the bank’s development plan, which aims to continue expanding and upgrading our branches to give customers a more distinctive banking experience."
