BBAC is delighted to have supported the Ahla Fawda Hamra Festival that took place in Hamra Main Street, one of Beirut's most vibrant streets, on Sunday, May 31st.

This is the second consecutive year that BBAC sponsors this event in support of showcasing the cultural heritage and diversity of Lebanon and Hamra Street in particular, and with the belief that it carries a significant message and values that are worth care and support.

The festival was a real success and brought together thousands of people from all walks of life during a day of music, art, food and performances, to celebrate and honor Lebanon’s history and culture.

The festival offered people a journey back to explore and relive Lebanon’s golden age - transforming Hamra Street for one day into old street cafes to the sounds of Lebanese music legends and the smell and tastes of lost childhood memories. They also had the chance to enjoy a flower and a book market, art exhibitions and workshops as well as live bands, artists and celebrity acts.

Visitors of all ages gathered at BBAC’s stand where they were handed balloons by a living statue mime artist who gave out an engaging show that had everyone mesmerized.

Commenting on the sponsorship, Mr. Tarek Bilal, Head of BBAC Marketing Department, said: “Sponsoring this festival shows BBAC’s commitment to serve its community beyond its role as a financial institution. Such festivals and events have become an important catalyst for stimulating the local economy through the supply of new resources, creating new and diversified sources of employment and income, especially that the festival includes significant participation from private and economic sectors, promoting tourism and building a stronger sense of community.”

The proceeds of the event will fund Ahla Fawda NGO’s social and environmental projects in Hamra.

As ‘Your Caring Bank’ with a vision of making social responsibility an integral part of its corporate culture, BBAC is committed to developing and supporting initiatives that sustain community development.
