BBAC Signs MoU with the Modern University of Business and Science
BBAC and the Modern University of Business and Science (MUBS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to begin bilateral collaborations across many different areas.
The MoU will serve as a framework to promote, among others, knowledge and expertise exchange, capacity building and networking. Academically qualified MUBS students will benefit from training, internship and employment opportunities with the bank, while BBAC employees will have the chance to participate in MUBS’s academic programs. Moreover, additional areas of collaboration include the support and participation in joint activities and events that serve both institutions’ mission statements.
The signing ceremony took place at BBAC Head Office and the agreement was signed by Sheikh Ghassan Assaf, Chairman General Manager of BBAC, and Dr. Hatem Alamy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of MUBS.
On this occasion, Dr. Hatem Alamy commented: “The University’s objectives converge with BBAC’s objectives on a common goal of supporting students and building their future. The University is proud to partner with BBAC, a trustworthy bank well known for its effective role and initiatives in serving its clients and providing value and quality customer service. This agreement is consistent with the University's policy to strengthen the partnership with the labor market and active economic sectors. ”
As for Sheikh Ghassan Assaf, he said: “We are pleased to partner with a dynamic higher education institution like MUBS. This initiative is in line with BBAC's core philosophy of 'care' and is part of BBAC’s corporate social responsibility in empowering our employees and the younger generation to reach their potential as we believe in the power of education to help transform lives and improve communities.”
He added: “We think it is essential that our partnerships are well-planned, have proven results, and are sustainable over time. We are confident that this strategic new alliance will successfully generate enduring benefits for our institutions, individuals, and community.”
