BBAC was the main sponsor of this year’s Al Jabal Mini Marathon, a non-profit activity that brings together Lebanese of all backgrounds to run united in the heart of Mount Lebanon. This inclusive marathon has become an annual sport tradition that encourages new generations of roadrunners and welcomes amateurs to develop their skills and professionals to compete.

Amidst great excitement in the early Sunday morning, thousands of eager participants set off in bright sunshine from Beiteddine in the Chouf district in hopes of running the entire distance of the marathon up to the finishing point at Deir EL Qamar Municipality. The challenge of the marathon was also extended to people with physical disabilities who competed on the wheel chair track.

Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Tarek Bilal, Head of BBAC Marketing Department, said, “We, at BBAC, strive to constantly unite our efforts in order to serve the community whenever the opportunity arises. The mini marathon is among the few that unite people from Lebanon’s various religious, political and social groups in a very public way, thus promoting a healthy, harmonious, prosperous society and encouraging Lebanese youth, who need our attention and care, to play sports and stay away from negative distractions.”
