BBAC and Live Lebanon Provide an Ambulance for the Lebanese Red Cross in Tyr
The Lebanese Red Cross in Tyr-South Lebanon received an ambulance donated by the UNDP’s initiative Live Lebanon in partnership with BBAC and with the support of the initiative’s Goodwill Ambassador for Western Europe Mrs. Boran Boueri, who attended the inauguration along with Red Cross Director Ms. Susan Oweiss.
After both national and Red Cross anthems, Mrs. Boran Boueri expressed her gratitude for the completion of the project and stressed her continued support for the Live Lebanon initiative in achieving sustainable development in the country. UNDP Social and Local Development Programme Manager Mr. Raghed Assi thanked the initiative’s partners and reasserted UNDP’s commitment to champion development projects like these throughout Lebanon.
Finally, the Lebanese Red Cross director extended thanks to the Live Lebanon initiative for their support in securing an ambulance for their Tyr branch. This project is significant as it contributes to the improvement of health services and ensures a secure and speedy transfer of patients from and to hospitals.
As partners, BBAC concludes the year 2013 with this all-important project, like many implemented previously, and, with each, renews its commitment to development and welfare throughout Lebanese communities under its core value of “Care”.
