BBAC and “Live Lebanon” give more than a 1,000 Christmas gifts

UNDP’s “Live Lebanon” initiative in partnership with BBAC, with the support of Mrs. Bouran Bouery, the Goodwill Ambassador for Western Europe, distributed gifts across Lebanon to over 1,000 underprivileged kids as well as elderly citizens in celebration of Christmas. The distribution ceremonies took place in several towns and villages all over Lebanon in the presence of BBAC managers and staff from neighboring branches.

From the 20th till the 26th of December, gifts were distributed to many NGOs and civil organizations: Barqa NGO in Bekaa, Sharqieh School in Zahlé, The Tahaddi School in Shatila refugee camp, Rafic Hariri Hospital in Beirut, orphanage of the Welfare Social Development Association in Tripoli, in addition to Al Risala Scout Association in Tyre, as well as the Volunteer Movement for women and girls in Lebanon-YWCA in Hadath, Al-Ishraq School in Aley, Maronite Nursing Home in Furn El Chebbak and finally, in the village of Bkassine.

A grand ceremony was held in Yater Public School in South Lebanon to reveal a swing set “Live Lebanon” had installed in the indoor playground, where tens of kids could play during the winter time.

BBAC and “Live Lebanon” succeeded in spreading holiday cheer this season giving back hope and a sense of caring to the community, especially to those who need it most.
