BBAC Sponsors the Book Launch of “Integrated Total Quality Management Strategies”
BBAC sponsored a book launch and seminar celebrating Dr. Adnan Al Aridi’s recently published work “Integrated Total Quality Management Strategies”. Led by BBAC’s Chairman General Manager Mr. Ghassan Assaf, the seminar brought together economic, business and industrial figures to discuss and give valuable insights on the topic of the book.
The event was attended by an array of academics, economists and businessmen, and was well supported by colleagues of the author.
Dr. Adnan Al Aridi, publisher and ex-consultant, banker and professor, covers in his book fundamental concepts of Total Quality Management, its principles and practices, tool and techniques, as well as, the methods of implementing it in different sectors such as banking, health care, tourism and hospitality.

BBAC Celebrates 30th Anniversary in Cyprus with a New Branch Premises
On the occasion of its 30th anniversary in Cyprus, BBAC celebrated the inauguration of its new branch premises in Limassol in the presence of the President of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Nicos Anastasiades, BBAC’s Chairman and General Manager Sheikh Ghassan Assaf, the Governor of the Central Bank of Cyprus Mrs. Chrystalla Georghadji, the Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon Mr. Riad Salameh represented by his Vice-Governor Dr. Saad Andary and a number of prominent economic, political, diplomatic and social figures, as well as customers and BBAC employees.
The branch was moved to a new spacious bank-owned building with a modern and unique design, in order to expand services and products and to serve the largest number of customers in a private and comfortable atmosphere, according to the highest level of delicate service. The relocated branch was provided with all modern facilities in accordance with the development plan implemented by the bank, which aims to upgrade all its branches in order to give customers a more distinctive banking experience.
In his speech, BBAC’s Chairman and General Manager Sheikh Ghassan Assaf said: “For decades the people of Cyprus and Lebanon have continuously built bridges of cooperation that resulted in stronger political, cultural and social ties. At BBAC, we are proud to be the builders of one of those bridges that has stood strong for 30 years, and with today’s inauguration of our new premises, we are set to continue for decades to come, our cooperation and partnership with the people of Cyprus.”
He added: “The new premises which we celebrate today is the result of cooperation between Cypriot and Lebanese architects and has been built in a spirit that reflects the deep bonds among our people, especially as both people have proved the ability to face difficult times and to overcome challenges successfully and continue to move forward.”
Finally, Sheikh Assaf thanked the BBAC staff that served throughout the bank’s 30 years presence’ in Limassol for their hard work and loyalty and reiterated his deep appreciation to the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nicos Anastasiades for his presence and support to BBAC’s new pace, which is a milestone in the list of the achievements of the bank. He also thanked the guests for attending the event and their confidence in BBAC, and reaffirmed the promise that BBAC will remain “Your Caring Bank”.
In addition to the new breakthrough in Cyprus, BBAC is preparing for the opening of two new branches in Basra and Sulaymaniyah, Iraq, in addition to its existing branches in Erbil and Baghdad. It is worth mentioning that the bank has a representative office in the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi) and is preparing to open a new one in West Africa (Nigeria-Lagos).
The bank also has an extensive domestic branches network comprised of 39 branches dispersed throughout various Lebanese regions, with the opening of the latest branch in Hazmieh. BBAC also plans to inaugurate new branches in the near future.

Sheikh Ghassan Assaf: BBAC Expands Despite Tensions - The Daily Star
In an interview with the Lebanese newspaper The Daily Star, BBAC's Chairman - General Manager Sheikh Ghassan Assaf discussed BBAC's developments, among other topics, highlighting the bank's recent branch expansion, future plans and financial performance. He affirmed "Our performance until the end of June shows an increase in deposit YOY [year-on-year] 10 percent as compared to 7 percent for Alpha group - we are the third highest. We have achieved an increase in loan portfolio YOY by 12 percent - 4.5 percent to Alpha group."
Sheikh Assaf also stressed on BBAC and the banking sector's concerns amid difficult economic and political circumstances Lebanon is facing. Moreover, he called on the Parliament to pass crucial bills. Despite the challenges, his outlook remained positive, stressing BBAC's strong will to grow and contribute to the country's economic and social development.

BBAC Celebrates the Inauguration of its Hazmieh Branch
BBAC celebrated the opening of its new branch in Hazmieh area. The move comes from the bank’s belief in this area’s potential of being a connecting point between Lebanese regions. Sheikh Ghassan Assaf, BBAC's Chairman and General Manager, inaugurated the branch in the presence of political and social figures as well as media representatives.
The new branch is distinguished by its sophisticated design and strategic location on Damascus International road, in addition to being equipped with the latest banking technologies, which aims to offer its customers, both individuals and companies, a more distinctive and comprehensive banking experience.
Sheikh Assaf commented: "The new branch is qualified to be one of the strongest among all our branches in Lebanon. We have dedicated space, staff, and all required support to insure a swift and successful launch for the new branch."
He added: “With the opening of Hazmieh branch, the number of BBAC branches reaches 39 branches in Lebanon in addition to the five branches abroad. BBAC Supports the “Iraq Banking Forum” for the Second Year in a Row
For the second year in a row, BBAC supported the “Iraq Banking Forum”, which was held in Beirut in the presence of the Governor of the Iraqi Central Bank Dr. Ali Al Allag and the Lebanese Central Bank Governor Mr. Riad Salameh, a group of Iraqi, Lebanese and Arab banks and financial institutions as well as experts, economists and representatives of specialized media outlets.
Assistant General Manager for External Expansion at BBAC, Mr. Chawki Badr, who was one of the speakers at the forum, commented saying: "BBAC’s efforts are focused on further expanding its local network through opening new branches, as well as working on development and international expansion. The bank has been at the forefront of the development and implementation of investment projects in the emerging Iraqi market, where it has seized opportunities and major investment projects.
