BBAC donates to 'Akhdar Dayem' environmental campaign
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility program, BBAC donated 100,000 USD to ‘Akhdar Dayem’, the Lebanese environmental campaign to preserve the nation’s green spaces, launched by the Lebanese Ministry of Interior and Municipalities in collaboration with the economic committees and the civil society. The Lebanese Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Mr. Ziad Baroud received a visit from Chairman General Manager of BBAC Sheikh Ghassan Assaf, who handed him the check with the contribution at the ministry’s premises in Sanayeh - Lebanon.

BBAC attracts ambitious job-seekers at FORWARD Recruitment Forum
BBAC participated in FORWARD Recruitment Forum held at Biel-Beirut from the 19th till the 22nd of March 2009. The forum focused on bringing together the Lebanese workforce with leading local, regional and multinational companies, recruitment agencies, associations, higher educational institutions, cultural centers and many more. BBAC had the opportunity to creatively present its products and services while its team was available in full force to help interested candidates with specific queries.

BBAC sponsors AUB's Virtual Stock Exchange Competition
BBAC sponsored a six-week competition, Virtual Stock Exchange Competition, organized by the Business Student Society at the American University of Beirut (AUB). Participants were granted a certain amount of virtual money which they were to invest and track in corporate stocks as they saw fit in order to reap the highest possible returns.
The objectives of the competition are to encourage participants to strategize their use of the stock exchange, incorporate analytical skills and their understanding of the industries in which they chose to invest, and learn the intricacies of dealing with shares on the stock exchange.
The top 5 participants presented their tactics and plans to a panel of judges consisting of AUB finance professors and BBAC finance specialists. BBAC also offered financial awards to the winners with the highest returns and soundest investment strategies.

BBAC holds its annual lunch gathering
BBAC celebrated its annual lunch gathering at Biel, Pavillon Royal in Beirut. This event incited by BBAC's board of directors aspires to create a culture of unity and solidarity in the bank. As accustomed, this lunch, which hosted Musician Jihad Akl and Stand Up Comedy by Carla and Tony Abu Jawdeh, was a joyous time to pay tribute to the BBAC staff and cadre who have served this institution for 30 years and an opportunity to share insights for the year 2009.
