BBAC and Live Lebanon Light Up Southern Lebanon
BBAC and Live Lebanon, with the support of Live Lebanon's goodwill ambassador Fadi Salameh, and in co-operation with the Municipality of Marwaheen, launched a new development project, which provided a new generator to the village of Marwaheen in southern Lebanon.
In a celebration held in the municipality town hall for the occasion, the Head of Marwaheen Municipality, Mr. Mohammad Obeid, thanked all those who participated in completing the project. He also praised the efforts of the Live Lebanon initiative, in its work to implement balanced development in all areas of Lebanon. He stressed the importance of this project in ensuring the flow of electricity for the residents of the municipality, which has improved their living standards and has reduced their expenses as well as the pollution caused by private generators.
The Head of BBAC branch in Tyre, Mr. Hani Bazoun, also gave a speech, in which he praised the commitment of the bank, with the support of the local community, and without discrimination or prejudice, on all levels. The UNDP representative, Mr. Raghid Assi, in his speech, emphasized the commitment of Live Lebanon in giving support to other similar development projects, covering the whole of Lebanon equally, with the aim of improving living standards. As for Mr. Salameh, he expressed his happiness over the completion of the project, and stressed his continued support for the Live Lebanon initiative in implementing sustainable development and improving the lives of Lebanon’s deprived communities.
The importance of this project lies in the reduction of rationing hours and the safeguarding of the flow of electricity to the residents of the area, which will improve their standard of living.

BBAC Employee Wins an Award for Academic Excellence
It gives us immense joy and pride to congratulate BBAC's employee, Elias Yazbeck, for winning an Award for Academic Excellence at Saint Joseph University (USJ). Since 2007, Elias has shown great responsibility and hard work at BBAC, this is why we encouraged him to climb up the ladder and attend the Higher Institute for Banking Studies at USJ.

BBAC Rewards its Credit Cardholders with $500 Daily this Summer
Summer is here and BBAC would like to make the time of relaxation and enjoyment, which normally requires extra cash, as stress-free as possible for its credit cardholders with a special promotion that rewards them with a daily cash prize of 500 USD.
Whenever they use their credit cards for purchases at any point of sale in Lebanon or abroad, the cardholders’ names will automatically enter into a draw for a chance to win a cash prize of 500 USD every day for one whole month.
The Head of Retail Banking Division at BBAC, Mr. Camille Moujaes, stated: “We at BBAC put customer satisfaction at the top of our priorities and we hope that this promotion will create an atmosphere of joy during this summer holiday period. BBAC and Live Lebanon Renovate a Public School in Northern Lebanon
The Bani Sakhr School in Wadi Khalid in northern Lebanon has inaugurated a project to renovate the school, with support from Live Lebanon-UNDP in partnership with BBAC, and Live Lebanon's goodwill ambassador Mrs. Boran Buweiri. There was a celebration held in the school – in the presence of representatives from the UNDP and BBAC – as well as a number of teachers.
After the national anthem, the principal of the school, Mrs. Halum Uthman, gave a speech in which she thanked the efforts of the Live Lebanon initiative to improve the educational sector and support government schools, also thanking all participants in the project. The UNDP representative, Miss. Hanin Fakih, likewise thanked those who participated in the completion of the project, and stressed UNDP’s commitment to supporting similar projects across the country. She also committed to helping government schools improve their infrastructure, in order for them to help the largest number of students possible, in a healthy environment. The Head of BBAC’s Tripoli branch, Mr. Ali Darwish, expressed the importance of the project, a project whose scope extends to all students. He spoke of how young people are the future of Lebanon, and how Lebanon has to be ready for the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure a healthy and prosperous future. As for Mrs. Buweiri, she expressed her happiness at the completion of the project, stressing her continued support for the Live Lebanon initiative in order to achieve sustainable development.
The importance of the project lies in the rehabilitation of the school, to improve the educational services for students and ensure them a safe environment. The initiative has provided essential and necessary equipment to the school’s classrooms and staff rooms, including tables, chairs and bookcases. It also provided key infrastructure to the school’s science lab.

BBAC and Live Lebanon Launch Irrigation Channels in Northern Bekaa
The Municipality of Bechwat has launched a development project to build irrigation channels, with the support of Live Lebanon-UNDP in partnership with BBAC, and Live Lebanon's goodwill ambassador Fadi Salameh, and in collaboration with the Deir El Ahmar union of co-operatives. The project was inaugurated in a celebration held in Bechwat in the presence of the area’s key figures and representatives from the UNDP and BBAC.
After the national anthem, the Head of Bechwat’s Municipality Mr. Hamid Keyruz gave a speech in which he welcomed visitors and thanked those who participated in the completion of the project. He also praised the efforts of the Live Lebanon initiative. The Head of the BBAC branch in Baalbek Mr. Osama Abdel Sater commented, ‘We have come to stress the care and consideration taken towards the people, without discrimination or prejudice, as well that taken towards the land, and the way it was nurtured during this project. We hope that this project will become a solid core to spread goodness to all the people of the Bekaa region. Likewise, we stress our relentless pursuit to set up economic, environmental, youth and health projects in those areas most in need of them.’ UNDP’s representative, Mr. Raghid Assi, emphasized Live Lebanon’s commitment to supporting similar development projects covering the whole of Lebanon, with the aim of improving standard of living and income. As for Mr. Fadi Salameh, he expressed his delight at the completion of this project, stressing his continued support for Live Lebanon in order to achieve sustainable development and help deprived areas claim their rights.
The importance of this project lies in increasing irrigated farmland and doubling agricultural production to benefit more than 400 farmers in the village of Deir El Ahmar and the surrounding villages in the northern Bekaa region.
